Using the Compliance Score tab

Use the Compliance Score tab in the Application Guardrails landing page to understand guardrail violations from an executive-level point of view. The metrics on this tab help you see how complex or custom code is introduced over time and how those changes impact project quality.

Additional options allow you to communicate these details to application stakeholders.

Understanding your score

Here are some tips to help you understand the metrics associated with your compliance score:

  1. Review your application's Weighted score. This 0-100 value measures overall application compliance and appears as the most prominent number on this tab.
  2. Review % Compliant rules to understand the percentage of rules in your application that are free of severe, moderate, and informational warnings.
  3. Click the number of Rules with warnings or Rules with unjustified warnings to see a list of rules by name, rule type, applies to class, last update time, and who made the last change.
  4. Consider how the values on this tab are calculated:

Improve your compliance score by reducing the number of warnings in your application.

The Warning Details tab gives you a centralized view of these warnings, with more information on the actions you can take to resolve them. Use the additional tools on the HTML5 Application Readiness landing page to resolve warnings by upgrading to the latest HTML markup. To see the full catalog of warnings in the system, refer to the Records Explorer.

Analyzing data over time

You can adjust the window of time used to calculate your compliance score. This helps you visualize trends over time and begin to correlate development changes with fluctuations in the number of warnings in your application.

To set the filters on this tab:

  1. Use the application scoping control to select one or more application layers to evaluate.

By default, the current application is selected.

  2. Enter a date in the Only include rules modified on or after field to restrict results, based on the time a rule was last updated.

  3. Click Apply filter to update metrics based on your selection criteria.

These filter criteria are applied to exported compliance scores but ignored by any email reports you schedule.

System alerts by week

The table in this section of the Compliance Score tab details alert and interaction count trends over time, up to the last 4 weeks.

Use the My Alerts tool to gain insight into alerts generated by your current requestor session. You can also review your system alert logs for information on all alerts.
