Correspondence form - Completing the Security tab

This tab is optional. When you leave this tab blank, every user of your application can select this correspondence rule (when presented as a choice during processing of an assignment.)

Complete the optional two arrays on the Security tab to specify privileges or when conditions that together allow only certain users to use this correspondence rule.

You can specify any combination of privileges and when conditions, depending on the access you want to provide. All fields are optional.

Order is not significant in these arrays. Access to the correspondence rule requires at least one of the privileges listed to be held and at least one of the when conditions to be true.

Field Description
Privilege Class Optional. Identify the Applies To key part of a class to use at runtime to locate a privilege rule. Normally this is the same as the Applies To key part of this correspondence rule.
Privilege Name Optional. Enter the Privilege Name key part of a privilege required to use this correspondence rule. The class you enter and the name must together identify a privilege (using rule resolution including class inheritance.)

A user holds a privilege if least one access role in the access role list grants access to that privilege. The link between access roles and privileges is defined by Access of Role to Object rules.

When Name Optional. Enter the When Name key part of one or more when condition rules to restrict when this correspondence rule can be selected.

This when condition rule affects only the contents of the lists presented to the application user. A result of false does not prevent this correspondence rule to be used by automatic processing.
