Configuring categories for mobile search

For mobile search in a custom mobile app, you can configure categories that are displayed during a search. By limiting the scope of the search to the categories that you specify, the user gets more focused results.

If you do not define any categories, the system searches all content in the Work- and Data- instances. You can also indicate an action that you want to start when a user clicks a search category.

  1. Edit the pySearchConfiguration rule.
  2. In the Search categories section, click + Add category.
  3. Optional: Click Select icon and click Choose File to upload an icon for the category.
