Content storage types
You can control where case and Pulse attachments are stored for your application. There are different types of content storage that you can use, based on your business or performance requirements.
The following types of content storage are supported:
- Enterprise content management systems
- External systems, such as Alfresco, Microsoft SharePoint, and EMC Documentum, to which you connect by using a CMIS connect rule.
- Online repositories
- Storage to which you connect by using an account and credentials from a web storage provider, such as Box or SharePoint Online.
- Pega repositories
- Storage to which you connect by using a repository rule and relevant role.
- The Pega Platform database
- The default location for on-premises applications.
- The Pega Cloud File Storage repository
- The default location for Pega Cloud applications.
