Connected apps landing page

You can establish a connection between your application and a service provider for automated cases processing using the Connected apps landing page. For example, you can use Box to store attachments for inbound and outbound automated email processing. The applications listed on the Connected apps landing page use OAuth 2.0 and have a grant type of authorization code.

You can also disconnect applications from the service provider on this landing page. Disconnected apps are not authorized to access the service provider and the applicable use cases will fail. For example, automated email processing of attachments will fail.

If you are manually processing cases, you can connect to a service provider at runtime and do not need to connect using the Connected apps landing page. For example, you can connect to Box when attaching or storing a document to Box.

You can view the Connected apps landing page either as a table or a grid by clicking the appropriate icon in the upper right corner. The Connected apps landing page has the following information:

Column heading Description
Name Specifies the name of the profile. Click on the name to view or edit the profile.
Description Displays the profile description.
Service provider Displays the service provider. For example, Box. Google, and so on.
Authorization expires Displays the amount of time until the app's authorization token expires. This field is blank if a user has not connected.
Status Displays the status of the app, either Connected or Not connected.
Refresh token If a refresh token is being used to refresh the authorization token, displays enabled, otherwise, the field is blank.
Action Displays either of the following options:
  • Connect - Click to connect to the service provider and authorize the app.
  • Disconnect - Click to disconnect from the service provider and deauthorize the app.
