Case validation

Case validation uses a validate rule to compare user input values with a set of conditions when a case is created or saved.

For example, you can test that the value of the Time Entry property is less than eight hours or that the Due Date property is within the month of May. When a value does not meet the expected criteria, an error message is added to the clipboard. By using validation, you can enforce business requirements.
