Complete the fields on the Stages tab to manage the life cycle of your case type. You can also specify validation methods and supporting flows and flow actions.
Tip: Unless otherwise noted below, use Case Designer to set the values of the fields on this tab. The relevant tab names in the contextual property panel of Case Designer have been provided for clarity.
The following groups of fields are available on this tab:
Primary Stages — The list of primary stages and their associated names.
Use the Stages & Processes tab of Case Designer to set these values.
Alternate Stages — The list of alternate stages and their associated names.
Use the Stages & Processes tab of Case Designer to set these values.
Settings— The transition method and resolution options for a stage.
Use the General and Validation tabs in the property panel of Case Designer to set these values when a stage is in focus.
Requirements — The validate rule and list of required attachments for a stage.

Automatically launched processes — The list of flows that are automatically started when a stage is entered.
Use Case Designer to add parallel processes to a stage. You can then set these fields in the property panel when a process is in focus. Click Open process for advanced options.
Optional Processes — The list of flows that can run when a stage is entered.
Use the Actions tab in the property panel of Case Designer to set these fields when a stage is in focus.
Optional actions — The list of flow actions that can run when a stage is entered.
Use the General tab in the property panel of Case Designer to set these values.
