About Report Definitions

Report creators can subscribe other interested users to scheduled reports, so these users receive a copy of the report by email each time it runs. Managers can also subscribe themselves to reports displayed in their Report Browser, and can manage their existing report subscriptions.

See also Scheduling Reports. For an example, see PDN article 26372 How to schedule reports and subscribe to scheduled reports.

Subscribing when scheduling the report

When you schedule a report, you are subscribed to it by default. You can add other subscribers to the report, and make the report available for subscription. See the Task Output Processing section of Report Definitions — Scheduling reports.

Subscribing to a scheduled report

A subscription icon (report scheduled) appears beside each available scheduled report in the Report Browser. Right-click the report shortcut to display the Schedule Task form in read-only mode. Click the Subscribe button on the form to confirm your subscription. The icon changes to indicate you are subscribed to the report: subscribed icon

Managing your subscriptions

An icon (subscribed icon) appears to the right of the shortcut to each report you have subscribed to. Right-click the shortcut and then click the Unsubscribe button. The Schedule Task form appears in read-only mode. Click Unsubscribe to cancel the subscription.
