Back ForwardAbout the Local Data Storage wizard

If you have not configured local data storage for use with a data type's record editor, the data type's Sources and Records tabs provide links to the Local Data Storage wizard, which leads you through the configuration steps.

1. Configure source for record editor use

The first screen of the wizard displays the properties already identified for the current data type, displaying for each:

Add properties by clicking the + icon below the table. Remove a property by clicking the X icon to the right of the property row.

To adjust the display order of properties, hover the mouse pointer over the icon at the left of a property row, hold down the left mouse button, drag the row higher or lower in the table, and release the left mouse button.

Click the Generate Single & List Data Pages check box to automatically generate data pages for this data type. In the fields that appear, provide names for the data pages. Note: The data page name should begin "D_" and continue with letters and numbers, with no spaces.

Click Next to move to the next step. Click Cancel to close the wizard without configuring local data storage.

2. Review

On the second screen, review the properties that have been configured for local data storage.

Check the View Details check box to see other details. Click the links to review the rules created:

Click Close to dismiss the wizard.
