Fast track your compliance with legislation such as the E.U.'s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California’s California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) using these sample case type configurations.

Overview

The GDPR affects any company, anywhere in the world that possesses an E.U. resident's personal data. And new legislation such as California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) goes into effect Jan 1, 2020, impacting most large businesses that do business in the state of California. Your business could be challenged to hand over -- or even erase -- all the personal data you have, upon request. It is important that every affected business have a deliberate, documented, defensible and deployable process.

To help fast-track your compliance strategy, we have created these example processes that you can use as inspiration for your own environment. You may apply these example case types to either Pega Customer Service Case Management, or Pega Platform environments.

*Note that if your current Pega license agreement includes case type, or purpose clause, restrictions the purchase of additional case types may be required for use case of the GDPR or CCPA. For this reason, contact your Pega account manager to ensure compliance before placing any new case type into production.
