Question

In Pega PCS (Product Composer System), if I would like to have my own Benefit class, what is the standard recommended way?

In Pega PCS (Product Composer System), if I would like to have my own Benefit class, what is the standard recommended way? To have my own Org-MyPCSFW-Benefit class and directly derive it from "Rule-HC-PCS-Benefit"? Or, as a second option to use the PCS benefit class "Rule-HC-PCS-Benefit" itself?

Hi Santanu,

You should have your own benefit class which extends from Rule-HC-PCS-Benefit.

That is the standard recommended way. That is the way most of our Customers following too.

Please let us know if this answers your question. Thank you.

Thanks Vijetha.

One follow up question is – my own Benefit class will have Org-FW-PCSFW-MyOrgBenefitc onvention, or it will be named as Rule-HC-PCS-Benefit-MyOrgBenefit?

What is the convention?
