Question

Capture Connector Request and Response payloads

Hi All,

As part of our requirement ,we want to capture the connector request and response into a table .We see that when a call is made from the Pega, the actual request is present in the parameter page in parameter "pyRequestData"  but we dont see the response captured in any parameter  .How do we get the actual response that we are getting .Right now the only way i see we can do is to update the connector activity starting with name pyinvoke .Would also like to know what Pega recommends.

Thanks

Dinesh

Hi

What is the connector type you are using ? If it is SOAP, then "TargetProperty" under Fault tab can be checked !

Santanu,

I am not sure if we can update all the SOAP rules with target property ,instead we just want to save InvokeAxis2 activity into our ruleset version and set the response to a parameter .As i mentioned above Pega is already putting the web service request in a parameter. Is this recommended ?Also want to know is there a reason why pega just put the request in parameter page but not the response.

Thanks

Dinesh

We do capture SOAP Request and Response and display that in Tracer - pick the option in Tracer Settings . You may try and reverse engineer from there.

Hi Dinesh,

You can enable Soap messages in the tracer settings and you can see the request and response soap envelopes in it.

Use Target Property in Response Tab.
