basically two things:-support existing applications and deliver business demands as per agreed budget (ofcourse) and timeline-ensure system availability as per SLA is met.
try keeping it on one node only. Or may be try using a flag,such that once the list is generated, you dont generate again
I see that on the Oracle site they give you the option depending on the JDK you are using. The latest (or the one with the highest number) is ojdbc6.jar which will match the JDK 1.6 JDBC drivers
