Based on the answer above- it's a default behaviour to not copy null values. Could you check? If it won't work, you could try to play with Page-Merge-Into method
As it was suggested above, add the logger and look into log files. Plus, based on the response code (400), it seems you have a bad request. So look into your request, how you compose it. and compare with what the service is actually expected
