Question

The process nOTEPAD.exe failed to start within the given timeframe. Continue waiting?

Hi Team,

I have installed the latest pega studio on one machine , but when i am trying to start interrogation (both window & Web ) it is throwing an error "The process CRM.exe failed to start within the given timeframe. Continue waiting?" .

Could you please advise what can be issue.

Did you run the installer as an admin? Are you running openspan as an admin?

I Ran openspan using admin rights but not sure about installer , Can it create the issue?

Possibly. It is always suggested to run the installer as an admin. Not doing so has created issues in the past.

Hi, I came across the same issue, I am using Win10. trying to interrogate Notepad++

Am I using the correct properties ?

Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\notepad++.exe

StartMethod: StartAndWait

TargetPath: C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\notepad++.exe

WorkingDirectory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++

Hello David,

Thanks for posting your query in PSC.

You dont have to put anything in "TargetPath" Property, just leave it empty.

And make the "StartMethod" as Start ( which is by default).

Let me know if it works or not.
