Question

Pega Robotics - Adding Excel Connector

Hi,

I'm trying to add the excel connector to my automation. Here are the steps I did. Selected the openspan.office.dll (2013 version as installed in my machine)-copied and pasted on my connector-added the excel to my automation page-navigated to properties-selected the workbook and that throws me an error "Property value is not valid", Microsoft office 2010 is not present. Also, the supported name in the property shows 2010. Request assistance to overcome this issue.

Attached the screenshot of error message for reference.

When you performed the installation of Studio, you likely selected Office 2010. The easiest way to resolve this is to uninstall and re-install. If you'd like to try on your own;

  1. Shutdown Studio and Runtime.
  2. Edit the following value in the %AppData%\OpenSpan folder in the files StudioConfig.xml and RuntimeConfig.xml; <add key="OfficeVersion" value="2013" />
  3. In the installation directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenSpan\OpenSpan Studio for Microsoft Visual Studio 2015), copy the contents of the appropriate office folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenSpan\OpenSpan Studio for Microsoft Visual Studio 2015\Office2013) into the installation folder above it; replacing any files already there.
