Pega Platform Import behaving Very Slow


We have an internal Pega Platform 8.1 instance configured for internal use. One of the users who utilize the Web App is reporting very slow behavior when trying to import an application. It is displaying it will take more than 44 hours to import an application that holds about 77000 records. Another user is reporting logging into the web app itself it taking forever (more than 3-5 minutes). Is there any configs I can make to accelerate the behavior of the web app? Thanks.

What do you see in the Alerts log? Are there certain queries that are taking a long time?

I see a number of exceptions with this message: Transaction (Process ID 73) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction.

You could have your DBA check the database performance. I also see there are some Support Articles related to the error that you could check. Here is one that might be helpful:

May i know you are into which application server... if so didn't you done any JVM turning or its just Pega given JVM Arg configured. 

Didn't got "Gateway Timeout exception" if so check timeout value at WebApp Server. If you using Apache+JBossEAP or Apache+Tomcat (Web+App) servers do not use modecluster for SSL config use custom one.

Thanks for reply. But I'm not quite understanding what you are saying. We are using Apache + Tomcat, and are on a single node.
