Question

Openspan Studio 8: Error-The process iexplore.exe failed to start within the given time frame

Hi,

I am having pop up with "The process iexplore.exe failed to start within the given time frame.continue waiting?" when interrogating windows adapter in openspan studio 8.0 & IE version 10.0. Start page is opening in another pop up with google.com as expected but could not find interrogation form & bull eye pop up. I saw many queries regading this in community posts. Is there any solution? Please help.

Regards,

Kousik

There is no magic bullet here, which is why we generally suggest opening a SR.  A Test you can do first

  • test with another application such as calc.exe
    • if this works then virus protection is not likely a problem
    • if this does not work, turn off your virus protection and try again

Thanks Jeff. I could solve the issue when installed the studio in another machine.

Now again facing another challenge, I have interrogated the fedex.in website (attached screenshot) text area and track button, after launching the page, textarea waitingforcreate-->if true-->textproperty to provide tracking id-->focus on track button-->performclick. But no text is getting input and no click is performed.

However, I could do the same thing with google.com. Could you help on this basic thing, Please let me know if I am missing something here.

I would need to see how you have the application interrogated and what your automation looks like.
