You can run the REST service rule and pass the parameters to simulate like the following:

rest service.PNG

Please let me know if I understood your requirement differently.

Hi Rashmi Raj,

Would you like to simulate the REST service call?

Yes that's right Shan.

I am expecting an external system to contact Pega with some information and we from Pega respond with a newly created case for the same.

Thanks,

Rashmi

Hi Shan,

Thanks for your inputs. Currently I am able to do the above simulation mentioned by you. The simulation works fine. Do I have to call the REST service from a flow (Assignment Service shape) for an external system to contact me ? Or just setting up the service is enough for it to work ?

Regards,

Rashmi

Rashmi,

I think this should be good. However, depending on your use case how you invoke the REST service might differ. In one of our use cases, we invoke the REST service directly as below :

YOURAPPLICATIONURL/PRRestService/CUSTOMER PACKAGENAME/CUSTOMER CLASSNAME/CUSTOMER METHOD NAME

Please let me know, if you need further help with this.
