How to open Pega on other server without login

I have a requirement to open pega in other node server but without login and using the current login session. Is it possible? My requirement is we want to separate the operational server and report server and we will provide a link to open URL (report server). If a user wants to open a report, the user will click on the link and the report server link will be opened.

Thank you.

Hi Yudhi,

I am not sure if there is a way to achieve his or not.

If both the nodes are configured in same LB then i don't know if there is a way to login to a specific node or not.

But if both the nodes are in different LB and have different URL to access the nodes then you might check the option of snapstart URL and can check if there is a way to send the current requestor's credential as login parameter in this snapstart URL.

This might need some more digging on how to achieve this but this might be one of the option that can help your requirement.

Hi Vikash,

Yes, both nodes are different LB and have different URL. Could you please describe how to use snapstart ? Thank you.

Below link explains the steps to be followed to use snapstart url.

It will redirect you to a the another environment and will allow a limited set of operations to be carried out.

If yo don't have login constraint(i.e. you want to show the login screen to user) then you can simply configure "openurlinwindow" action on click event of a button instead of .configuring snapstart url and this will give your user the complete access of the portal.

Hello, we have a similar requirement.  If a user has a session on one server and that server is stopped, we would like their session to be moved to another server in the same cluster.  In our case the LB is the same between the two servers.  Can this be accomplished more simply or is snapstart still the preferred way?

I dont think snapstart is best way for your requirement.

You want to recover the session of the user in some other node configured in the LB.

I am not sure if we can transfer the requester from one node to another or not but we can have a recovery configured using High Availability .

Please check the below link to know about it in detail:
