Question

"File does not exist or cannot be read:" error in Connect-FTP

Hello All

While Using Connect-FTP method, I am getting the following error - "File does not exist or cannot be read:Folderpath\" This is happening with the path i have mentioned in Local path. Can any one please tell what kind of files are supported by Connect-FTP method. I have tried with a .txt format file. I have full read write access to that local folder. Does anyone faced this kind of problem before. Any kind of help would be really appreciable.

Best regards

Rajasekar

Hello Arvind,

Thanks for replying. I guess you have misunderstood the context. There are no file listeners involved here. This is issue is happening when we configure a SFTP server and use Connect FTP method in Activity. I hope this clears your doubt.

Hi Rajasekar,

Had you gone through the Pega documentation related to Connect-FTP? If not please go through over here which might help you to configure it with right parameter values. If you still see the issue share the tracer log along with the screen shot of your configuration to troubleshoot it further.

Note: Pega 8.1 documentation has been shared as i am not sure about your Product version.

Hello Mahesh,

I am using PEGA 8.1 only. I have implemented only after going through the document of Connect-FTP. I have attached the tracer screenshot with errors and configuration with the post itself. please let me know if you need any further information.

Local path : "D:\\NewTextDocument"

Remote path: "C:\\Users\\P0500260\\Downloads\\RebexTinySftpServerBin-1.0.5\\data"

Best regards

Thanks for sharing the requested information and after cross checking the configuration screen shot noticed that you had not provided the filename with its extension in the Local file property of the Connect-FTP method, instead you had provided only "D:\\NewTextDocument". For example, "D:\\NewTextDocument\\mahesh.txt"

Can you try with this change and update the test result? If still facing an issue have a look into https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/articles/how-copy-files-remote-systems-using-file-transfer-protocol-ftp

If possible can you please share the tracer log xml file by copying into the text file and attach it for our further analysis, so that i can give a try to look into it.

Couldn't notice anything specific apart from the invalid path error related to the local path in the tracer log. Please share the complete screen shots of your activity along with the values that you passed in the latest test, also did you cross checked in the logs for any additional information?

Also did you made sure that NewTextDocument.txt file is available in the D drive of the machine in which your Pega application is installed?

Then i would recommend to create an SR with GCS team for further investigation with the screen share to identify its root cause.

Please enable the logger for this class "Rule_Obj_Activity.TestActivity.OJ6YYR_AgentTes_Work.Action" as debug and share the log file with us.

Also, kindly go to your FTP server and validate the test connectivity
