Question

Excel Sheet as Email Attachment

Hi,

In order to send an email with excel as attachment(excel being populated by a report definition), I have used the html rule pzListViewExcelData by calling it in a Property-Set-HTML on the pyReportDefinition step page. But the excel sheet, when containing any date fields, gives the wrong date format("yyyymmdd" instead of "mm-dd-yyyy"), even though my operator locale is en_US.

Is there any workaround for this?

Thanks,

Charan

Hello

What happens when you perform a simple export to excel from the RD?

Hi Santanu,

The manual export to excel works fine, it gives the format mentioned in the Report Definition column.

But, the requirement is that an agent runs at 12pm, runs the report and sends it as an attachment to an email. So there is no "user" to manually export to excel.

Thanks,

Charan

Hi

I think it is picking up server locale and showing the date accordingly.

Try using pxRequestor.pyUseTimeZone and set up the required locale and share the result

Hi,

The locale for my operator is set up perfectly but I'm not sure about the existence of the "pxRequestor" requestor page to exist for an agent rule.
