Question

Connect-FTP to connect to Mainframe

I am trying to use connect-FTP method to transfer a file to mainframe. I already have the FTP Server created. The connection is successful.

I am also able to successfully create an FTP file. But when I try to connect to mainframe and provide the Remote path in the connect-FTP method it tries to add "/" to the path and it throws an error.

Is Connect-FTP designed to work with Windows/Linux systems only?

Hi Sameer,
What is the error being thrown?
What is the connect-ftp configuration?
Is the target zlinux?
Regards,
Jim

Target Mainframe is Z/os

Our ID for the FTP server is - "FTPCONN1"

I already have an FTP server rule (CONNFTP) created and it is successfully connecting to the mainframe using the above mentioned ID.

In the Connect-FTP I am giving the following information

FTP Server - "CONNFTP"

Remote Path - "FTPCONN1"

Local file - "/var/lgpsproc/DATAFILE"

Transfer Mode - Binary

The error I get is  -

Failed to copy bytes to the remote location FTPCONN1/DATAFILE
