Hi Nirmala,

Activities: Exceptions can be handled using transition in the step, or you can also use conditions such as StepStatusGood or StepStatusFail in transition of the step or precondition.

Web Services: Exceptions in connector can be handled through error handler flow and in services Faults tab can be used for error reporting.

There may be many other places and ways PRPC provides exception handling, above is what I am aware of.

Hi Ali,

Nice explanation.

I have one doubt.

What is transition in the exception handling ?

Can you give an example of Exception Handling.

To understand the scenario.

The Transition step defines any post condition that needs to be validated and based
on the validation, transition of some sort can be done. The significant functionality of
transition step is that it is used for error handling in activities. When ever there is an
exception, the transition step can be used to make the control shift to a later step
which handles the exception. The transition step also has the same options as pre
conditions for the transition to take place.
