Lets take an example,

There is a function called BoundInteger, define the Input params and the Output Type. And write the function (Java code) and test it. Once it works. You can create an Alias...which is just a way to refer to this function.

When you use a decision table you can refer to this function using its Alias Name instead of the using the function name. This makes it easier for Less technical developers. So when you delegate the rules, the person would be able to understand the function by its Alias.

So in the Above example, the function name is BoundInteger and the Alias name is BoundBetween0And100.

Hope it was clear.

That make sense with what is said. The place I found the function alias usefull is in the "when rules".

How do we refer function alias in decision table/ when rule? in the expression builder I can see only functions after selecting library.
