Question

Does explicittempdir,pr_temp, file://web of pxserviceexportpath refer to the same directory ?

I have the following tag in prconfig.xml <Environment name="url/initialization/explicittempdir" value="/xjp/utility/pegatempdir" type="java.lang.String" />

Value of pr_temp = /xjp/utility/pegatempdir

Value of pxserviceexportpath = file://web:/StaticContent/global/ServiceExport/ (file://web: is substituted by /xjp/utility/pegatempdir )

Value of explicittempdir = ${pega.tmpdir} - i read in some Pega mesh discussions that ${pega.tmpdir} refers to the value of url/initialization/explicittempdir

Now do all these 3 parameters obtain their value from prconfig.xml or from some other source ?

Hi Dilipan,

I think you only need to specify Temp location for explicittempdir from prconfig or DSS the rest will be taken care by Engine APIs.

Adding to what Habeeb said, mentioning details about temp directory at Application server ( or webserver ) level should be sufficient.

so pr_temp, file://web: of pxserviceexportpath  will obtain its value from the DSS or the prconfig.xml ?
