Only the current tab is what I want to close, i,e the tab in which the workitem is opened, needs to be closed.

Hi. There's a standard action called Cancel that's available from buttons and icons. You can find it in the Process Work category in 6.1 SP2+ or in the property panel dropdown of actions in earlier releases.

Hi Kavoj,
Thanks for the suggestion. But the Cancel button cancels the action when ur using a local/assignment flow action. It doesn't close the tab window.

You're talking about a Work Area tab that contains an open Work Item, correct? If so, Cancel closes the tab.

Look at the Activity Work-.Close and see if that fits your needs.
