Ability to bulk withdraw/block rules

We need to retire a large number of rules (close to 9000 decision trees) in our application. As manually withdrawing/blocking rules will be a time consuming process so we are looking for a way to withdraw these rules in bulk and accelerate the process.

We tried to update the rule record in the database using an RDB-Save where we set the value of the property pyRuleAvailable to 'Withdrawn'. The result however was not conclusive.

On searching the rule it appeared as withdrawn but when we opened the rule form it wasn't grayed out. Also, on the rule form the availability showed 'Yes'. Is there anything we are missing here or do we have better approach available?

Thanks.

Use Obj-Open/Obj-Open by handle and then do obj-save with write now/commit after setting the .pyRuleAvailable to No/Withdrawn. it will work.
